The main disagreement seemed to stem from creative differences when it came to running the blog, and each had their own managing style as well. By last week, both were at a standstill with the relationship and had a desire to move forward in their own way. The end result?? A new blog site for one managing editor, and back to basics for the other managing editor!
Renee Gannon is the owner of Lesbiatopia and has already begun to design her blog to mimic the format it had when it first began while keeping the current style and feel the same. There you'll find fun lesbian commentary, humor, entertainment news, and more. The Lesbiatopia slogan is "Strong enough for the GLBTQI community, but pH-balanced for lesbians".
Paula Brooks is the owner of the new lesbian blog Lez Get Real which is a blog that offers "A girls view on the gay world". The site is still fresh yet already has some interesting features such as the Daily LesbianScope and it's own social networking community. What both women can agree upon is that they want to do their part to provide the LGBT community with a voice, to expand awareness of lesbian life and the need for equal rights with their blog.
Along with maintaining my own network of blogs, including this one, I am a contributing writer for Lesbiatopia, and am now expanding to offer my services to Lez Get Real as well. You can still find my "Adventures of A Lesbian Mom" here on Lesbian Mommy, but I will also share my insights as a Lesbian Mom with Lesbiatopia, and share my opinions as a lesbian on Lez Get Real as well.
Both blogs are endorsed by Lesbian Mommy, and you can subscribe to them both using the links below:
Plus you can visit them both on MySpace too:
